I cannot coat the exterior of your car, truck, or SUV without making sure that the surfaces that make it up are in top-tier condition. To do so, I must first hand wash and clay your vehicle’s paintwork, glass, metal trim pieces, and other surfaces, removing every last speck of mess residue and leaving behind only a clear, unaffected vehicle exterior.

Paint Inspection for Defects

After contaminants have all been eradicated from your finish and other areas that intend on being coated, I then inspect those areas for any paint defects and recommend buffing and polishing to rectify swirls, scrapes, nicks, and light scratching. Remember: Anything a coating covers will be magnified intensely, which includes potential defects. I want to get rid of those for you!

Ceramic Coating Installation

Each of my four ceramic coating packages here at KC’s Auto Detailing start as a liquid polymer, allowing me to use my tactile experience in hand applying on all surfaces applicable to your selected package. I do so right here at my Woodward, Iowa detailing shop, keeping your car, truck, or SUV safe from cross-contamination that would otherwise impact the efficacy and clarity of your paint protection package.

Follow-Up Detailing

For example, my more expensive ceramic coating packages here at KC’s Auto Detailing include 9H-level hardness for paintwork and metal while including a specialized hydrophobic coating for glass surfaces.

  • What can be done about preventing scratches on my coating?

    When solid contamination like dust, dirt, and mud collect on your coated exterior, an abrasive washing technique will ultimately leave scrapes and marring as a result.
